The Power of Laughter - Gail Hand, known to her Grandmother Lottie as sheina madela sugarpuss was reared in both New York and California. Gail is a motivational humorist, author, certified laughter leader with the world laughter tour and a certified laughter yoga teacher with world laughter yoga international. Gail has logged 20 successful years in Corporate Sales & Management with American Express, Southwestern Bell, Macy*s, and several gourmet cookware manufacturers garnered Gail 3 rookie of the year awards, 10 leadership awards, and a strange award for a pet multimedia presentation. Gail is the author of the book; The Power of Laughter, Seven Secrets to Living and Laughing in a Stressful World. Her second book, Dog Scoop will be released this summer featuring Gail’s photography and humorous captions. Over 500 Corporations, Universities and Associations in 37 states and Canada have been host to Gail on the power of laughter, stress management through laughter, leadership, team building and diversity. Her solo show “Hello Bubbela” premiered in Portland, OR in 2005. The show, inspired by her larger than life small Bronx matriarch, Grandma Lottie Hand, is destined for Broadway. Gail’s laughter career and therapeutic laughter clubs have been featured in the Living Section of the Oregonian, Northwest Healthy Living Magazine, Portland Monthly The Hollywood Star, Multnomah News, Northwest Living, The Columbian, and The Portland Business Journal publications. She has also been a regular humor expert on AM Northwest and quoted in Women’s Health and Fitness magazine on Humor and Health. She has been featured on numerous radio programs from Boston to Portland. Gail is past President of the Oregon National Speakers Association, and member of the Association for Applied Therapy on Humor. She is also a member of the National Association of Campus Activities, Association for College Unions International and the Canadian Organization for Campus Activities. She proudly holds a frequent wash card for her 4 dogs at Beauty for the Beast.
