E. Goodman Obot, MD is a family physician with extensive public health training. Dr. Obot graduated from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed a family medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston prior to a fellowship in the prestigious Epidemic Intelligence Service at the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. After fellowship at the CDC, Dr. Obot served as an Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine has been in private practice in Atlanta, GA since 1995.
Dr. Obot is the Founder of the Good News International Ministries and a member of the Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He is the author of “The Triangle Diet: Breaking the Cycle of Diabetes, High Blod Pressure, and Diabetes”. This book serves as a lifestyle manual that encourages readers to exercise daily, eat wisely, and live well. He also is the author of “Doctor of the Gods”, an autobiography which chronicles his life from where he grew up in a small village in Nigeria to present day. As a community leader, he has had the opportunity to both host and lecture at local and national conferences and has appeared on television and radio media promoting health fairs, weight loss, and diabetes prevention.
