Pamela Pope is an author, elder care strategist and President of Pope Institute for Health and Education, LLC; a national elder care consulting and consumer education firm. As President of Pope Institute, Pamela Pope harnesses her experience as a rehabilitation therapist and elder care specialist to empower families to manage challenges with elder care and aging with a focus on quality of life and quality of care.
The mission of Pope Institute is to improve the health care system by empowering elder care consumers. Her book, Retirement Life by Design ~ Living Well with Health, Wisdom & Authenticity (Achieve Aging in Place, Manage Elder Care, Master Caregiving-2008), is a call to action for caregivers and seniors about the importance of holistic retirement planning.
Pope graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia with a Bachelors of Health Science degree- cum laude honors. She studied Health Policy and Administration at NYU and practiced in long-term care management. Her professional experience includes over 10 years as a rehabilitation therapist in nursing homes, home health, hospitals, and an apprenticeship for nursing home administration. Pamela Pope has appeared on several radio shows and has published many articles on health policy, caregiving, and elder care quality.
