Beatlemania wows JunglePlex crowd
BeatlemaniaCrowds were wowed by the nationally renowned group Beatlemania Live last Friday night at the JunglePlex. The event was the first of many planned by Loretta LaRoche Productions in collaboration with The Project WOW!, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a conduit to enrich the region’s culture and serve as a resource to support the arts and entertainment through programs and education.

The Jungle Plex venue is new to Loretta LaRoche Productions.

“We work with a number of venues throughout the region,” Erik Christensen, president and founder, said. “This venue, being in our hometown, worked beautifully. We created a stage and lighting setup very similar to the Tweeter Center, bringing the outside in. The patrons were pleasantly surprised by the fact there was not a bad seat in the whole house and the acoustics were just as wonderful. We had a great experience all around. The owners of the JunglePlex were a pleasure to work with.”

Both adults and families with kids attended and enjoyed the show. Offering 3 levels of seating: Gold Circle in the first 2 rows, general seating and lawn/bleacher seating – where you could bring your own chair or blanket and enjoy the outdoor feel while remaining warm and dry on the high quality artificial turf. For those who wanted to dance or had children who needed soem wiggle room, there was plenty of room left over in the arena.

“On top of the evening being a fun concert, we were able to raise just over $1,000 for the Plymouth North High School wrestling program, which will help fund a new wrestling mat,” Christensen said.

“We are quite excited about the success of this event, both in the new venue at the Jungle Plex and the kick-off of The Project WOW! We are looking forward to continuing this collaboration, producing quality shows for the greater South Shore community as well as raising awareness and funding to support programs that affect the community,” Jennifer O’Brien, executive director of Loretta LaRoche Productions, said.
